Resources Calender and availibility

Copper Contributor

Good morning,

Pls assist .. I have a 2 calenders on this project. 1. Fabrication  2. Installation. (I've allocated it accordingly to my tasks.)

For this project (SAPPI) my Resources for :

1.'Fabrication' will only be available from 01/10/2024 - 03/11/2024

2. 'Installation will only be available from 04/11/2024 - 09/11/2024.

When I change the resource availability as such and when adding my 'available from' & available to' columns in the Resource sheet, it does not come up as such as well as the max shows 0% and not 100% or 200%. Why , what am i doing wrong? @

I need to get the 'end date' of this task from 19/11 to be not later than 03/11, without affecting the fixed welding work 298.2 hr??? How do I fit it in to complete not later than 03/11. Team 1: 1-welder 100% + i) add another welder (200%) = should cut completion date to half/ or use team 2 (if to balance the 298.2 - the required 226 hrs = 72.2 hrs over) Thus add 32% from team 2 needed to bring date to 03/11....correct? Why then does it change the duration to '0' and the start date & end date to predecessor (AC inspection) end date.... should it not level the date from the 19/11/2024 (Team 1 - 100%) to 03/11/2024 (Team 2 - 32%)....please assist

Hi Jeanine.

The maximum capacity shown in the resource sheet refers to the current day, so if that day is outside the resource's availability range, it will show 0%.
You can check the maximum capacity on any day of the resource's availability range by entering a date within the range in Project > Properties > Project Information > Current Date.
I hope I have helped you.

Jeanine, in order to help you with your second question, it would be desirable for you to show a screenshot of the tasks table with the tasks to which you refer with their data.
