"Finish" Value in Project Center

Copper Contributor

Hello Comrades,

I was hoping that one of you may be able to help me clarify what value a field is displaying in the Project Online (PWA) Project Center. The field in question is the "Finish" field, shown below.

Originally, we were assuming that this was the "Finish date" of the project set in the Project Information, in the Project desktop app.

However, that does not appear to be true. As we have started to run into cases where projects are published and the "Finish date" in the Project Information section does not match the "Finish" value in Project Center.

It seems as though Project Center is either showing the "ProjectLateFinish" date of the project OR the "Finish" of the top-level task in the project? I have been unable to find any documentation on what value is showing in Project Center.

Thanks!

Chris

The Project Center displays the Start and Finish values for the Project Summary Task (Row 0 or Task 0) in your enterprise projects. Hope this helps.

Okay awesome! Thank you. So, what I was calling the "Top-Level" task would be the Project Summary Task.

Would the following be true then?

Project Summary Task Start = ProjectLateStart
Project Summary Task Finish = ProjectLateFinish

Thanks again!

Yes, those two assumptions would be true. And you are more than welcome for the help, my friend!
