Project Application in TEAMS

I just got the Project Application in teams and I'm assigning tasks from a specific project to employees however they can't update the task that they were assigned given that it is in read only?  Can someone help on this?

If you need your team members to be able to update their tasks in Project for the Web, each of them will need a Project Plan 1 license. Hope this helps.
