Project Accelerator owner only has user lookup

Iron Contributor

In project accelerator if I create a project, then set a team in Teams to the project schedule it will set the Team as the owner.  But the drop down for the owner is only users not teams.

Is there a way to change the lookup to point to teams as well?

Are you able to have multiple owners?

Hi,
unfortunately the short answer is No, the owner field has an impact on permission modifying this field might cause some issues with P4W.

This is what happens when a project gets added to a team in my environment.

@psawyer That hat's it works, unfortunately. As you've noticed the Accelerator only allows you to manually assign a User to the Owner field.  The only way to populate it with a group is when you create a group, or assign one in the Task grid.  Also if you associate a Teams group with the project there is no way to assign another group to the without deleting the Team.  No idea, why Microsoft designed it this way.
