Planning activity in different days

Hello! I'm new here and I have one question about planning activity in Microsoft Project. For example the activity start on 01/09, the following day is on 05/09 and the end is on 25/09. How can I represent on Microsoft Project? Because if I write: start 01/09 and finish 25/09, the software counts 24 days..but this is not right because the duration is 3 days. Someone can help me, please?
