By the way, from your description of the problem, I believe you are using the Project for the Web application and not Project Online. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to troubleshoot this problem, as this forum is staffed entirely by volunteers. If you are still unable to add a task to your project, you will need to ask your IT people to open a support ticket with Microsoft Support to resolve this issue. Sorry, but hope this helps.
