I have Project Web App (PWA) 2019/Project Server 2019/SharePoint 2019 on premise installation.
The Projects schedules are created through PWA.
I have Risk list on PWA site collection. I want to capture risk for all projects in a single list. Our requirement is, the Project number drop down should be available on Quick edit/Datasheet view to enter multiple risks in a view.
Project number is stored in PWA database as Enterprise custom field on project.
I could add Project Number field to the list through external data (connecting to SQL server table). The field is populated in New and Edit form without any issue but In Quick edit/Datasheet view, the field is read-only and does not provide a drop down list.
Power Apps is not an option for us.
Is there any other options, we could get Project numbers in a drop down list on Datasheet/Quick edit view?
