Hello,

I suspect the answer is no but I thought I would post anyway in case someone smarter than me says it will work :)

I was wondering if it was possible for a formula in a Task Custom Field to refer to a different task.

In this case I want to refer to it's parent to get some information. In VBA I would use oTask.OutlineParent.Finish

I'm using Microsoft Project Online Desktop Client MSO (16.0.14326.20706) 64-bit.

Thanks

Gilgamesh1964 - As you expected, the answer is no. You cannot write a formula that refers to a different task. Sorry, but hope this helps.
