I'm late to the game on this one I'm sure but just had a chance to look at the SMSMap tool.  This is a tool that will hook into Visio and draw out a diagram of your SMS (and soon to be ConfigMgr) infrastructure.  Source code is provided so you can extend the tool yourself.  If you too haven't seen this yet :) take a look now at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc137998.aspx
