I just read throough the following article:

This article mentions:

For SharePoint, gateways support HTTP traffic but not HTTPS traffic.

Does this mean that the data traffic between my SharePoint and the Gateway service is using http rather than https?

Does this mean that I can't integrate with an on-premises https site?
