So I am new to automating SharePoint and I have a list I am using as a database for projects assigned to various employees. In my company's MS SharePoint, you can go up the management tree from the lowest level all the way up to the CEO. What I am trying to do is access this tree in SharePoint automation. When a project in the list is overdue, I would like the system to email the assignee and his/her direct supervisor, using the built in management tree in SharePoint.
Anyone have experience with a problem like this? Thanks.
