Classic Sharepoint Calendar: Availability Check & Mobile Calendar

I've helped develop a calendar using the classic web part rather than a calendar view of a list. Also utilized calendar overlays for color coding by category for more easily viewing / filtering on certain bookings.


The team has now requested two additional functions that I am not able to find any good documentation or previous community posts related:


  1. Create a Power Automate flow to check date / time availability before a new entry is made. Goal here to prevent double bookings.
  2.  Make the calendar available on mobile via the standard Outlook or iOS calendars. I have successfully connected the calendar to the Outlook client, but it only renders on my desktop.

Any thoughts on how to best accomplish these?
