Planner web part not showing existing plans

When i add a Planner Web part to a SharePoint online plan, existing plans that show up in the Planner Hub are not available in the SPO web part.  The only plans that show up in the web part are plans that were created in the current site. How can I add other plans?

Hi Dean,
AFAIK, the Planner App only allows to select a Planner that is linked to the Group attached to your modern SPO site.

Thanks, that is what I am discovering, but that is not stated anywhere in the documentation.

Is there anyway to connect an existing plan to an Office Group that is associated with a SPO site?

AFAIK, there is not way Today to connect a Plan to a different Office 365 Group
