....that's just downright tacky. I assume/hope that there's some kind of technical reason, and it's not simply a profit-related decision. But Microsoft folks, it's so so SO crummy to limit any features found in Office 365 Pro (or whatever the official title is for the version we've all used working in an office of some kind).
Word, Excel, and Powerpoint can all be bought as standalone applications and don't require a 365 subscription to have them. So, I would bet that a significant portion of Office 365 Personal users, like 90% or more, only came to be Personal users willing to pay for it after experiencing the glory and power of Office 365 in their work life. That's certainly the truth for me.

So, to spend money on a Personal 365 account, and go in expecting the same applications to be available for whatever reason they decided they needed Office 365 at home, only to not be able to find some of their favorite apps....it's absolutely infuriating. I'm helping my dad establish a home based business that I will be the office manager of. I'm sure most 365 Personal users are using it for a small business. I completely expected Planner to be available, and am so thoroughly bummed/livid it's not.
Microsoft peeps. If it's profit-related reasons preventing Personal users from getting to use it, or any other 365 app, ya'll need to cut that sh*t out right now. There's absolutely no way Microsoft is so strapped for cash that they need to squeeze every last possible cent out of people by manipulating them into paying for the more expensive Office 365 version to get the apps they were expecting in the Personal version.
And if it's a technical issue of some kind, again, cut that sh*t out. You're Microsoft. I'm sure you have programmers available around the world 24/7, so have someone do whatever needs to be done to make it useable for Personal 365 accounts.
Just to end on a positive note: Microsoft, ya'll knocked it out of the park with some of the 365 apps. The way my calendar, email, MS Planner, and MS To-Do all work together....it's some of the most incredible computer programming magic I've ever seen. It helps SO much in a professional office environment. I love the entire Office 365 suite of programs. So, I lovingly demand that you make them accessible in Office 365 Personal.
