Create Plans from Planner Plans

Iron Contributor

There are very many Planner plans (Included tier) around the organization. I want to import these into Planner Plans (Planner Plan 1 & Project Plan 3 i.e. 'Project for web') so that they can be included in a Roadmap (Project Plan 3 tier).

How do I do that, please?

Thank you

I've discovered that the product does not do what the documentation say it does

I am struggling with these distinctions as well. I believe you need to copy the Planner plan to Project - only my Projects are showing up as available in Roadmap, and only my "premium" plans or standard plans can be viewed in Planner. So there's some sort of distinction there but it's not super clear. And if you're in tasks.office.com (ie Planner) on the web, you can't see the timeline (which is only visible when viewing through Teams), and it pushes you to copy it over to project.microsoft.com (ie Project "Project for web"), which as I understand it will disconnect it from the Planner functionality. But that's the only way to view it in a Roadmap.
