I have read a lot of questions about assigning people from outside the company to tasks and I know it is not a feature yet. But is it possible to assign a task to a person inside my organisation, but that is not in a team with me?
You can only assign tasks to people that are members of the underlying group so you need the people you want to assign the task to be a member of the Group and therefore a member of the Plan
