My tasks gets upgraded with Charts and Schedule view

We’re bringing the power of the Charts and Schedule views to My Tasks! Few of us collaborate on just one plan at a time: in fact, you’re probably working on five, ten, maybe even dozens of plans right now. My Tasks helps you manage this by aggregating all your tasks across plans, making it easy to focus on your work inside of Planner.

Charts view in My tasks

Planner charts are now available in your My tasks view, visualizing the status of your Planner tasks—just your tasks and no one else’s—by status, priority, and plan. This can help you focus on the most important items for enabling your team to meet its goals. You can learn more about Planner charts on our support page.

Schedule view in My Tasks

Schedule view in My tasks works just like Charts view: it has all the power of the plan Schedule view but only shows your tasks across plans. This more nuanced view can help you plan ahead by prioritizing your days, weeks, and months to meet deadlinesYou can learn more about the Schedule view on our support page.

The Charts and Schedule views for My tasks allows you to focus where it matters—your assigned tasks—without getting lost in unrelated plan items. Specifically, Charts view in My tasks can help you:

  • Quickly see the status of your tasks without sifting through everyone else’s tasks first.
  • Click into your late or high priority tasks to understand what’s needed to complete them.
  • Get a simple status summary of all your tasks to see which plans require more attention.

Schedule view in My tasks can help you:

  • Quickly understand your task priorities for the day, week, and month.
  • Get color-coded cues for your late tasks so you can prioritize accordingly.
  • Easily drag-and-drop your tasks to different days. Moving a task in the Schedule view changes the plan due date, too.

When can we have the Timeline / Gantt Chart view?  This is a must feature in Planner / My Task view.

As of 2/21/2020, the feature is 100% in production. Let us know what you think!

What has happened with the scehdule view? We just realized that from today the possibility to look at our Planner in different views has dissapeard. Could anyone help me figure out why?

Could you make a feature which allows budgeting hours to each task and visualizing it in schedule view?

Depending on the duration and amount of hours allocated the task bar would show either long and slim or thick and short. For a visual person it would allow for easy visual assessment of workload. Setting working hour limits would determine the daily pool which is divided between tasks visually. Currently all tasks flow along the calendar in same thickness, and it is hard to guess how much the person is putting effort over that time.

Please vote for the Gantt chart view. Now that the tasks are going to all be in one place and might actually get used a hell of a lot more, a timeline view would be so beneficial. We shouldn't have to pay so much more for this capability out of project when we don't need the added complexity of resource allocation, time management, etc.

I like seeing the chart as an overview of current tasks and completed however as my job is ongoing I'd like to analyse this data by date ranges. Example, Show the past 12 months or 6 months ect. The green line just keeps climbing as the years continue is there a way we can view it and know how many jobs were completed in the past 12 months?
