User cannot see new folders created in Outlook 365

One of our users is not able to see new folders she creates in Outlook Office 365. 

When the user creates the folder, as she has been doing for years, no errors are generated. When she tries to find the folder after creating it, the folder is now where to be found. When she tries to re-create the folder, she received a message stating the folder was already created. 

 

The new folders cannot be seen in Outlook online or in the desktop application. Has anyone ever seen something like this before? What is causing this?

Hi, when you created the folder did you click on the folder icon in the left panel to show the folders list. I had to fig around to find all my folders to.
