Two contacts with the same name

We have an employee on site that has the same name as one of our customers. I would like to change the name of the employee so that it displays differently from the customer when we receive e-mails. For instance, I would like the employee to display as:


John Doe (Company)


and the customer to display as just:


John Doe


I have gone into just about every setting I can think of, including changing the Full Name, Display Name, etc. but all it does is change the name in the system, but when e-mails come through it does not change the display name in the inbox, so we have no way of knowing if it is the employee or the customer who we are receiving the e-mail from without clicking on the profile and actually looking. Does anyone have a solution for this? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
