Stop emails from calendar events.

Copper Contributor

Hi, whenever one of my coworkers add an event or meeting in my calendar i get a very annoying E-mail that tells me that they have added an event.

Yes i know they have, that is why i have a calendar, i don't 20-30 E-mails every day to tell me that someone has made an appointment with me in 4 months time.

Please tell me how to make them stop, they are cluttering up my inbox and makes the "real" E-mails hard to spot.

Microsoft recently released a new Share Calendar feature. If a coworker manages your calendar as a delegate, when a delegate adds or updates the calendar owner's meeting invites, except for appointments, the owner is informed via another email. You can disable this shared calendar setting. See the image below.

If the coworker is not managing your calendar and you are required to accept or decline the meeting, you do not have the auto-accept meeting option in New Outlook.

Microsoft also recently added the ability to Filter RSVP messages in the inbox. This allows you to easily review and act on these messages.

@Teresa_Cyrus

Thanks for your reply, but i already unchecked the "calendar updates" and I still get dozens of e-mails every day, as soon a someone even thinks about planning something in my calendar.

If i upgrade my coworkers clearance level to delegates, i stop getting the mails but my coworker's get them instead, so that is not a solution.
