Hi,
In Outlook online (O365) it is possible to open a shared mailbox and see the sent messages grouped together with the incoming messages in conversations. The same functionality is not available in Outlook 2016. Anyone know if this is coming or if there is a setting that we have missed?

@Fabio_Sasso I been reading this trailing communication going on since 2013 and want to know if Microsoft is planning to fix this in outlook? Or support to Outlook desktop will be redundant in future for which no such critical changes are done?

@Rajesh_ThakurI think this bug is related to Outlook Web App and you should ask Microsoft if there is any fix planned.

As a work around, I have found that if you always hit "reply all" to emails in a shared email account, the reply will show up in conversation view. If you only hit "reply", it will not.

@MPCFRIC This is because Reply All actually includes the shared mailbox's email address in the To list.
For any that comes across this thread: In order for shared mailbox sent emails to show up in conversation threads in the shared inbox, you must include the shared mailbox's email as a recipient.

I suppose this was not fixed since I'm still experiencing this old problem.
Or maybe is there a reason for having this set up in this way for the shared mail boxes...

The full conversation view is supported if the mailbox is added as an account. It does not if it is added as a shared mailbox because the conversation view only displays for messages in the folder and not for messages from other folders. This is so that the full conversation view can find the messages that belong together since search is per folder in shared mailboxes.
I would mark this as the answer, even though it is a workaround.
