Sharing a calender doesnt work local

we came across a problem where a client has been to share their calender to the assigned person but he can only see the calender when he is on the web version of outlook. what we want to find out is how we can fix it to be also on the local outlook. they are from 2 different domains but they dont fall under the same tree. the client does have an email account that is from the same domain but they log in with a different one of the company which we want to connect.
