Rule to auto move alias email will not work

Copper Contributor

I created a rule that any email that arrives, that was sent to my alias email address, should be moved to a specific folder. However, Outlook keeps "resolving" that alias email to my primary email address and then moves all new mail into the specified folder, instead of just those that are addressed to my alias.

Is this a bug? Or, is it something that MS does not support? Thanks.

@victorivanidze that did it!
Changing Outlook to look for my alias in the incoming message header, resolved my issue. Now my regular email is going to my inbox, and email sent to my alias are going to the folder I selected! Thank you for your help! Dan.
