Ribbon position when sending an email

Today when I tried to send an email, the ribbon at the bottom of the content area disappeared.  The ribbon is visible on top of the content area, but not on the bottom of the content area where I want it.  I can not seem to get it back to the original format.  Any helpful suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I have users who have raised the same issue.

Not a problem for me as I use the outlook client and now the web looks even more like that.

Hopefully they will add an option to switch between the two view.

No solution yet.  I have microsoft support working  on it.  However, I am suspicious that microsoft my be changing the presentation of the ribbon (formatting tool bar)@EllaGriffin
