Read, Unread and @Mention tabs are missing from outlook bar

Hello, I was just coming here to figure out why the headings were gone as well. Has anyone seen an official response from Microsoft? Is this a "per design" change, meaning that they won't come back, and if so, what is the reasoning behind it?
