Random Emails with @thread.v2 in Outlook 2016 - Need Assistance

Hi everyone,

I'm currently using Outlook 2016 on my desktop, and I noticed some emails in my inbox that have random numbers followed by @thread.v2 in the subject or body. I can't quite figure out where these are coming from or why they are being generated.

Has anyone else come across this issue? If so, could you explain how these emails are created and what purpose they serve? Any help would be appreciated!

1. @thread.v2 Emails:

   • These emails are part of a conversation thread feature in Outlook.
   • When this feature is enabled, messages with the same subject are grouped together as a single conversation.
   • The @thread.v2 identifier helps Outlook organize and link related emails within the same thread.
   • It’s a way to streamline your inbox and keep related messages together.

2. Customizing Conversation Settings:

   • If you’d like to control how emails are grouped, you can adjust your conversation settings.
   • In Outlook, navigate to Settings > Mail > Layout2.
   • There, you can choose whether to view emails as individual messages or grouped by thread.
