"New event" ribbon now Big in outlook calendar mobile

After recent update, the blue "add event" button on the bottom of outlook calendar on my Android mobile phone is now such a large oblong that it covers my view of days in that portion of the calendar. How can it get back to the old small circle as before?

I am an independent advisor answering Microsoft Outlook questions.

I also checked my Android and see what you see. The "+add event" button size is much larger. I agree, it would be nice to have an option to choose the button size under the Theme option.

I agree completely. No offense, but what a dumb idea. And what's even crazier is that if you slide left or right to another day, the button shrinks by removing the words. Why can't that smaller view be at least the view on the current day too? I honestly can't come up with a good reason why they cover so much of my screen, and why it's the worst on the current day.
