Hi,
When I reply to a message, all too frequently the "Do not check spelling or grammar" check-box gets set for that email.
It's really infuriating.
I have tried setting the default to unchecked, but it just turns itself back on again without warning.
Is there anything I can do to stop this happening?
Kind regards
Steve

I have the same problem but inverted. "Do not check spelling or grammar" is always unticked when replying to emails.
For new emails "set as default" works, but not for replies.
Found the same problem from 2019:
