Occasional Visitor

I can not get my messages via Outlook?  the error message includes that the set of folders can not be opens and log on failed!  Any advice will be gratefully accepted.


I can get my messages on my ipad and iphone so it isnt tpg's problem.

There are several reasons that might cause the issue, some known are mentioned below:

  • It might be an issue with configuration of IMAP server
  • Try to reset your password
  • Switch the IMAP configuration to SSL (From port 143 to 993) if it's not secure.
  • Check your Windows Firewall, modify inbound rules, and add the port to "Allow the connection"
  • Contact your service provider, if they did any changes on the mail server, they need to provide a new configuration.
