Outlook Sharepoint Attachment Links change

So i have been struggling to find out why my attachements when trying to share items in emails from sharpoint where showing up as links in the body of the text instead of actual attachments (with access to sharepoint built into them like the "original experience" version in the below link.

Does anyone else not like this new way of working? The older methord seemed much more user friendly as a link in a the body of the email could be overlooked?

This new feature is awful, it's just going to drive people AWAY from sharing documents and back to using attachments.

I've been using 'modern attachments' for years, it's great most people can use it with no idea that they're not sending attachments but sending links. It's a great way of gently introducing people to OneDrive/SharePoint, etc.

This new option is broken, there's no messaging about it in Outlook, so the first time you use it, it's very confusing. You now have to plan where you put your links in an email, you can't write an email and attach it at the end.

I've just confirmed you also can't search for emails with 'attachments' now with this new method. After literally years of not using actual attachments, I'm switching back to them.

It's going to be chaos when this hits the mainstream release, I can only hope Microsoft have some way of monitoring the use of attachments vs sharing and can see the impact it's having and change it back.
