Outlook iOs not requesting MFA

Brass Contributor

Since last Friday (evening?) September 17, 2021, our iPhone users do not receive email messages from our Office 365 Exchange mailboxes. The app does show notifications but does not request MFA. If someone uses the OneDrive app - and consent on MFA request - the Outlook app works again for a day.

Checked one user: iOs version 14.7, updated to 14.8, still has the problem. App version 4.2135.2

Has anyone else seen this issue? It looks a bit like EX286304 "Users of the iOS Outlook mobile app are not getting push notifications after receiving email messages" which happened around the same time.

I’m having the same issue. Notifications come through but opening the application never downloads newer mail. MFA auth also isn’t showing.

This started the last few days.
Just noticed this in the health center:

Users may encounter authentication errors when accessing Microsoft 365 mobile apps.

This was added today but started earlier:

We are facing the same problem. Our workaround is to update to the later iOS and remove the Outlook app and reinstall it.
Was there a fix for that ? I am tired of signing in every 5 minutes to see new emails
The issue in the message center was solved. MFA requests are being received now.
