Outlook 365 on the web using Mac - can't open emails or write new messages - Something Went Wrong'

Copper Contributor

Since upgrading to a new Mac using Monterey OS 12.2, I'm no longer able to write new emails or open anything in my mailboxes when using the web-based Office 365 Outlook. I can login and see my inbox, but when I click on the New Message button or an email in any of my mailboxes (inbox, sent, etc), I get a 'Something Went Wrong' message, telling me: "There was something that went wrong with the application. Please refresh your browser window to continue." But refreshing makes no difference. (OneDrive, btw, seems to work fine.) I'd be very grateful if anyone can advise how I can get proper use of my web-based outlook account. Thanks

I just worked out that the problem happens when I use Firefox but, at first glace anyway, it looks like things work fine in Safari! Whew! I can't access my Outlook settings in Firefox either.
Can anyone advise how to make Outlook function properly in Firefox?
