Outlook 2016 desktop version

Brass Contributor

Hi all,

the user has reported an issue with his Outlook 2016 desktop app.

The user has an O365 account.

In OWA user receives email correctly & on time but to see the same emails in desktop app, he needs to restart the Outlook app (turn off/on).

When he opens the app again, he can see the new emails.

On mobile, everything runs perfectly.

I've tried:

1.) Quick repair - didn't help;

2.) re-installing Office - didn't help;

3.) turned off "Focused".

Any other idea?

Kind regards,

Make sure they are "Connected to: Microsoft Exchange" (message in the status bar near bottom left of Outlook window) and not "Working offline." If they are working offline, then go to the "Send / Receive" tab and click the Work Offline button. Also, what happens if they click on Update Folder or Send/Receive All Folders buttons in the "Send / Receive" tab?
