Outlook 2013 and the 2FA Fido2

Copper Contributor

I have secured my Windows Account with FIDO2. So this is an additional key. In a normal use, I catch a message on my SmartPhone to enable this login. In an other use, I have to plugin a FIDO2 compatible stick to an USB connector, and I have to press the stick.

This works fine, if I use outlook online or I will login to a microsoft page. But in Outlook 2013 I receive always the message: "Please give up your password". But this fails, may the 2 factor authentication is failed.

How I can implement this technology in the software Outlook 2013?

@Sio_x You can create an APP password or you can do the following:

1. Enable Modern Authentication for your Tenant: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/enable-or-disable-mo...

2. Enable Modern Authentication for Outlook 2013: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/admin/security-and-compliance/enable-modern-authenticatio...
