Messages not appearing in inbox

Occasional Visitor

I had a user call and informed me her inbox is empty. I sent a test email and she received it. After further investigation I noticed she had a unread mail folder in the search folders section that seemed to have all her previous emails. I moved them to the inbox however, all are marked as unread. Also when we open newly sent or those moved "old" unread messages they are still being marked as unread. Can someone please assist as to how to get outlook working normal again?

After you create a rule, or move it, you may not be able to automatically mark it.

so remove unnecessary rules and do not move and to another place .
