Drafts, Sent and Trash Folders are in the Inbox in Outlook 2016

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I have Outlook 2016 setup with my iiNet email account (IMAP).

When I send an email in Outlook it doesn't appear in the normal Sent Items folder.

That folder exists but the sent items go into a separate 'sent' folder which is a subfolder of the inbox folder.  I only realised that when I expanded the inbox.

Firstly, why would this happen and secondly is there a simple way of getting sent emails to go where they are supposed to?  There is also a Drafts and Trash folder as subfolders in the inbox.

It isn't a huge issue so if it is a big deal to fix I'm happy to just leave as is.

Regards,

Paul
