Disable Loop Components

Copper Contributor

How on earth do I turn off Loop Components?

Please stop adding clutter to justify your jobs. Every few weeks I have to retrain myself and lose productivity because you cannot leave a good product alone. Bring optional, NOT FORCED, changes that can help us.

HI @blahblahblah1234

I am an independent advisor responding to this inquiry.

The Loop Feature can be disabled for the entire organization and not at the user level by the IT Administrator.

Here's the documentation.

https://docs.microsoft.com/sharepoint/manage-loop-components

If you find this information helpful, please 👍  like it, which will assist others with the same question. (Even if you differ with Microsoft's decision.😀)

They make problems messing with the UI when they have plenty of work to do fixing what is broken.
I just want to paste a link into an email. It shouldn't force me to use an embedded loop component for that. Even pasting as plain text causes the loop component to appear. Super frustrating. I've already wasted 30 minutes trying to figure out how to do something that should have taken 5 seconds. 😠

What type of link are you pasting? I had no issues pasting a standard URL link into an email.

Recently, Microsoft rolled out a new feature. You can choose to view your Loop components in New Outlook as loop components or links.
