Delete future instances of a series

I realised that I cannot delete just future instances of events in a series.

However I want to keep the past ocurrences as a record in the calendar, while I want to delete all future instances. They are for more than one year, so I do not want to delete them manually.

How can I do that?

@Danielp3011  Edit the event and change the end date of the series?
