Changing the 'From' address

Using Outlook Professional 2010: I recently received an email from a person I know, but for some odd reason, the name that appears in the From field is garbage. Here is what I am seeing:

    From: Nonsense name <real@email_address>

I would like to change the nonsense name into the sender's name, but have not been able to figure out how to do this. Please offer suggestions. Thanks.

Did you ask a sender if they really sent the message with garbage display name?

@Victor Ivanidze- No, but I can do that, But even if he sent the email with the garbage display name, is there any way for me to change it in Outlook?

Hi @groston, no you cannot do that natively. In theory you can write a macros or an add-in for that .
