We have a scanning network copier that e-mails scanned pdf's to selected user. I'd like to set up a rule to automatically save the attachment on the e-mail to a network drive and then delete the e-mail. I have no problem creating the rule that properly intercepts the messages I want, but there is not a "save attachment" option available as a rule step. In web searching, there used to be a workaround using VBA scripting (even found code snippets) but latest Outlook also removed "run script" as an available action . . . . . . probably due to all the recent security mess.
Does anyone else know of a way to accomplish the required objective? I'm sorta surprised "save attachment" is not a valid choice since it would only be launched by a user-written rule. Thanks in advance for ideas.
