I have been reviewing the feedback for OCM on UserVoice (at https://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/407082-outlook-customer-manager) and seen that for a number of posts Microsoft says that they are working on fixing the issues or developing the new requests which sounds promising. The application has great potential for Small Businesses, but needs quite a lot of tweaking in its current shape to work smoothly, to my experience.

 

By when can we expect an update to OCM being released?

Thanks for your support and impressive comment.

 

I'd like to clarify that this forum mainly focuses on handling technical issues when you are using Outlook Customer Manager. For any new feature release in OCM, it is suggested you monitor the Feedback forum. The status will be updated at the first time there. i.e. If one features has been released, the status will change from WORKING ON IT to Completed.

 

Appreciate your understanding.

I recommend you completely ignore the rubbish answer from Lance. The program manager Welly Lee has posted here many times in the past about updates to OCM. There is even a blog somewhere on this site that initially showed updates until they pretty much stopped working on it....... If they are working on it then they are sure doing a good job keeping it secret. As you have seen in the uservoice communication is poor to say the least. No roadmap either. I actually gave up on this a long time ago as have many others and suggest you don't waste too much of your time with it. They don't even support job title under contact info.....need I say anymore!

Indeed, having the OCM included in the Office 365 Roadmap application would be a very good thing for customers. There just seem to be a lot of uncertainty about the OCM, including if it is still an active project (as there is no clear information on the future of the product).

 

From my side I'm trying to find out how I should present OCM to a customer who is quite interested in moving their sales to the cloud and also implement Office 365. I suppose I should let them know about this uncertainty of the product and let them decide on their own.
