I have looked at Amanda's suggestions but Outlook Customer Manager does not appear on either for me. Everyone else in my organisation now has Customer Manager, but I do not... very frustrating considering I'm the IT manager and am set to First Release.

Since you are the IT manager, you should have an Office 365 account with an admin credential. Please log into the https://portal.office.com/adminportal/home#/users and click yourself, then Edit Product licenses and check whether you have been assigned the OCM license as below:
