Problem adding a sharepoint link to a deal

The problem is easy to reproduce..

Create a deal

click on files and add one (+)

Select Link and enter or paste any http://link

It appears to corrupt the link when saved. For example http://www.microsoft.com becomes http^c^f^fwww.microsoft.com.url

We need this fixed as it is preventing us taking this  tool into use

Could you let us know where you put the link to(Deal name,company,contacts) when you create a new deal?

It was the deal.  I navigated to a deal, clicked notes and added a Link.  What we are trying to do is add links to a folder location in SharePoint

See above.  You need to createthe deal first and then you will see the ability to add notes or files.  It is under Files that you can add a link
