Hi,

How can I quickly add an existing contact from Outlook 2016 desktop client to Outlook Customer Manager?

Right now, once I have selected a contact from my large contact list I need to :

- go back to email

- search an email with the contact name

- click on OCM icon on the ribbon

- click on "show details" on the OCM window overlay on the right

- check the "business contact" checkbox (sliderbox?)

Not convenient at all. Is there a quicker way?

While I am at it, is there any way to check if an outlook contact is tagged as "business contact" and thus managed in OCM? I could not find any field that would reflect that...

Thanx for any help on this.

Hello Jerome,

We appreciate your feedback.

Generally, we can create this existing contact into the OCM directly. Or use the Import feature to add the users. If it doesn't meet your requirement, please let our related team know it via the link below:

Microsoft welcomes your feedback on its products.

Thank you Rudy.

In your answer you say :

"we can create this existing contact into the OCM directly."

Do you mean there is a way to create a contact in OCM, from an existing contact?

I could not find a way to do so. Can you please guide me through the steps?

Solution

Hello Jerome,

I mean we can create a new contact via clicking the Contact button in OCM, not from an existing contact. Please see:

All right... After testing it a while, I have realized that OCM is far too "alpha version" for me (slow, closed, limited). So I guess I just won't be using it.

Thank you for your help anyway.
