I started using Outlook Customer Manager today. Initially, I had issues and could not enter anything at all. I then followed a thread which advised to clear the IE cache, which I did. That seemed to solve the problem.
But what happened in the meantime, somehow, is that I got over 4000 duplicate entries of the same company - the last on I had tried to add prior to clearing the cache.
Is there any quick and easy way to delete all those duplicates?

Does “4000 duplicate entries” mean that “4000 duplicate contacts”? If yes, you can bulk delete contacts under Outlook 2016 client People tab.
Then, you can filter the contact you want and remove them.
Note: please back up all Outlook contacts before doing this to avoid mistaken deletion.
After doing this, try to force update the OCM contacts by clearing the IE cache as you did before. Restart Outlook client to see if everything works fine.
If it is different between this scenario and yours, please provide the following information:
1. A screenshot showing "4000 duplicate entries".
2. What causes "4000 duplicate entries", such as importing contacts.

I experienced the same issue like Daniel. I have 1949 (after deleted manually some) duplicated Companies on the OCM. Step by Step what I did before this issue (I am not sure when it created the duplicated entries on the Companies db).
1) I Imported the Companies on the OCM (the duplicated company was not in the list)
2) I receive an email from a new potential customer on my Outlook Inbox which I did not have on my Contacts db
3) I created the contact when I was reading the email from the OCM Panel.
4) The contact was created but at the time I was trying to create the Company (Obras ARgentinas) from the OCM Panel, the OCM Panel was stuck.
5) Ignoring the duplication issue, I have tryed three more times to create the Company from the OCM Panel on the email. Unfortunatelly was always stuck.

For the question “duplicated Companies”, it is different from deleting Contacts. I am consulting our related team about how to delete it.
For the question “stuck Companies”, to assist you more effectively, can you share some reproduce screenshots? If conveninent, a short video via any method you want will be appreciated.

About duplicated, if you can help me at least to massive delete the duplicated entries, will be apreciate.
Regarding the Company Creation Stuck from the email, I recorded a video for you. So far, I cannot reproduce the massive duplication event which originaly created the 2,000 companies.

Regarding “Company Creation Stuck”, have you tried to clear the cache of your IE browser?
1. Please go to IE settings > General > Settings under Browsing history > Caches and databases.
2. Delete cache files for the website "outlookapps.com".
3. Then, restart Outlook 2016. Hope this helpful.

Ok. You know that I have to clear the outlook cahche very often in order to avoid the clocking when creating a Comapny from the OCM Panel inside the email. Any idea what is causing the cache corruption?

In genarel, clearing a cache should be a one time thing. Given that you are still experiencing issue after clearing cache, please share a log via private message I have sent to you for further analysis.

Shuman! Sorry... working on other stuff. Here the log during the action. At the time I got the log, the OCM Panel from the email to create the Company was clocking without response for at least 4min... and continue...

I have the same problem:
- I created a contact person from a unexisting company
- while creating the contact I created the company (new company)
- spinner kept on going
result : 600 companies with the same name are now in my OCM
How can I delete them ?

What you need to do is download Outlook Customer Manager on iphone or ipad. Then go to deals you can swipe left and it will delete the deal. It's one at a time use left hand to swipe left and right to tap delete. It took me 45minutes to delete 4000 deals, but way less time than outlook office current way. Then refresh your outlook desktop app.
As far as I know they don'y have a companies section on the ios app...but it sure is a good thing I keep having to solve Microsoft's tech issues. Hey Gates, give me a call I'll help you out...although I have no background in programming, lol!

Has there been any progress in resolving the problem? I have 890 instances of the same company.
I have tried deleing them from Outlook on Windows, from the web and from iOS clients but with no success.
I can't roll this out to our company with the database in this state.
