Audio and video recording with external devices

Imagine: You sit in the auditorium and want to record a lecture. In front of you your laptop, OneNote loaded. You want to connect an external stereo microphone for better audibility and a video camera for the targeted recording of the presentation screen. You take notes with the pen and keyboard that you want to store in sync with the files you've recorded. Later, you want to edit the recording and put space between your notes and write down more detailed notes and thoughts here. These thoughts, too, should be stored in sync with the files. Is that too much to ask?
