One Drive for Business version 2016 Build 17.3.6799.0327

Hi started seeing this sync error when creating a new folder in the local One Drive for business location:

You already have a file or folder with this name in the same location

With the resolution:

Rename the item on this PC or online to keep both versions. If the items are the same, you can delete the version on this PC to download the online version.

The problem is that the folder does not appear in One drive online.

What is the name of the folder you are trying to create?

Hi Peter,

It does not matter what the name is, but just to clarify, the names have been simple letters and spaces like business folder, my files, etc.

Even renaming the folder does not work, it just trys to sync then throws the same error.
