Sharing folder with two Accounts

Copper Contributor

Hello,

i have two OneDrive accounts. One business account (I work at a University) and one private account (@live.de with a paid OneDrive subscriptions).

I work with many people around the world (researchers) and they share folders with me. One collaborator shared a folder with me and gave me the OneDrive Link. When clicking on it, I can open it but can't edit it. I noticed that it opens it with my private OneDrive account with doesn't have Office 356. So I switched to my work account. I can't see the shared folder. Whenever I click the link now, it seems that I'm not logged in.

Then I told him to deliberate share it with my work email. So I get an email to my work email that the folder was shared. When I click on the link from my work email it opens in my private OneDrive account... When logging out of my private account I can access the folder, but not edit. It asks me to log in. I try to login with my work account (btw. I am already logged in) and it says "Something wen't wrong".

First: MS has the worst ever authentication mechanisms I've ever seen and it caused only trouble so far (I am not even starting to talk about Teams), but how the hell can I open that folder that was shared with me with my work email with my work account???

best

Dominik
