We have notice that some users have scrambled email address when adding an external user to share a file/folder with. This happens only on File Explorer, as web/online we are able to share just fine.
Users are on the latest version of OneDrive for Business

That looks like the typical SPO user claim. In any case, open a support ticket and report this.
