Hello David,
What update are you looking for? I know that the nextGen Mac client does work fine for ODFB, so, I'm not understanding what you mean by an update on the "Sync" feature.
Please post back and let us know what you are referring to.

The last ODFB NOT work with SharePoint sites.
Some problems with the GUI.
No button to pause the upload of the files..
and so on...

The next major update with some of those featrues is suppose to be before the end of the year.
